Deskripsi
They are identified by their long, smooth bodies, short snouts, and vibrant yellow, cream, or brown coloration, sometimes with dark spots. They have prehensile tails that they use to cling on coral and seaweed
Perilaku
Slow-moving, sedentary, and solitary, they rely on camouflage and prehensile tails to anchor to seaweed, mangroves, or corals.
Reproduksi
They exhibit unique reversed reproduction, where males are pregnant and give birth. Following a courtship dance, the female deposits eggs into the male's brood pouch, where he fertilizes them. The male carries, protects, and nourishes the young for 10–28 days, eventually giving birth to hundreds of live, independent fry
