Deskripsi

It is small, master-of-camouflage fish with a highly compressed, oval-shaped body, rough "sandpapery" skin, and a distinctive single erectile dorsal spine. Its color is typically a marbled, mottled mix of green, brown, and tan, allowing it to mimic seagrass and reef environments. 

Perilaku

Shy, and highly specialized carnivorous fish found in reef and seagrass environments. Known for eating nuisance Aiptasia anemones 

Reproduksi

They are oviparous, egg-depositing species that spawns on benthic substrates, often in pairs.

Komunikasi & Persepsi

Primarily through rapid visual changes, including skin texture alteration and color shifting to match their surroundings.

Larger wrasses, pufferfish, foxfaces, some sea stars
