Description

It is a small barracuda fish family that can be found in oceans and brackish waters, has the characteristic of 2 faded stripes on the sides of the body, and a yellow tail. 

Behavior

Unlike the Great Barracuda, which is often solitary, the Obtuse Barracuda is frequently found in schools, particularly in inshore, coastal areas, seagrass beds, and rocky reefs. 

Reproduction

This species uses a continuous batch-spawning method, meaning they spawn multiple times in a season, an adaptation that supports population replenishment.
