Description

Behavior

They are highly predatory, diurnal, and territorial fish native to the Amazon Basin. Known for its voracious appetite and fighting spirit 

Reproduction

Male peacock bass mature sexually after one year, while females mature after two years. Large males develop a frontal hump and become territorial when breeding.

As diurnal predators, their hunting relies on highly adaptable eyes, which can match the light conditions of their environment
