Description

It is known for its vivid yellow body, white-and-black striped face, and elongated snout 

Behavior

When threatened, scared, or sleeping, they can instantly change from bright yellow to a mottled, blotchy brown-and-white camouflage pattern  

Reproduction

Foxface Rabbitfish reproduction involves pair-bonding, lunar-synchronized spawning, and the release of thousands of small, adhesive eggs into reef environments. 

Communication & Perception

Foxface rabbitfish communicate primarily through dramatic, immediate changes in coloration and posture, mostly to signal danger, distress, or territorial warnings to potential threats
