Description

They are a deep-bodied, laterally compressed marine fish known for its silvery-golden coloration and distinctively blunt head profile 

Behavior

These fish live on sandy shorelines and shallow, muddy waters, or in sandy bays near river mouths. Adults emerge from the crowds and migrate to coral reefs in the open ocean. 

Reproduction

It reproduces through pelagic broadcast spawning. They are oviparous, meaning they lay eggs that develop outside the mother
