Unlike many river fish that spawn during the flood/rainy season, Jullien's golden carp spawn in the middle of the dry season, typically from December to February
Reproduction
This fish is migratory, and its migratory pattern centers around its mating season. Adults migrate upstream during the dry season to form spawning communities in deep pools of low water.
